Hatha Yoga

I am a London based yoga teacher / singer songwriter. I have been practising for 7 years encouraged by my mother who is a longtime yogi, I decided to train to become a teacher in 2019. Now delivering Hatha rooted classes : I strive to provide a safe, open and vibrant space for people to connect with themselves and explore all their realms of being - whatever that may look like. Building classes on a strong foundation of breath and pranayama work, my students and I connect the powerful life force with the artistry of movement. I believe that every individual's journey to self-mastery forever changes and grows. Dedicating time to create space and check in with your body & mind allows you to evaluate where you're at and where you are going. Keep smiling, be kind!

So what is Hatha Yoga?

Hatha yoga is a term used for any type of yoga that involves both pairs & breathing techniques which are typically done together. Many of the yoga styles like ashtanga, restorative, vinyasa, lyengar and so on falls under the same catoragory of Hatha. 

 

Over the years Hatha has also evolved to describe a particular type of yoga class that is typically slow-paced with a focus on proper alignment.

Hatha classes typically guide practitioners through postures at a slower pace with more guidance on how to do each pose correctly. 

 

So what are the benefits?

Well Hatha Yoga has many benefits such as reduce anxiety, better balance and improve fitness level alongside all the other like pain treatments, lower BMI and blood pressure, reduce menopausal symptoms, help manage chronic diseases, improve mental health, and more.
